The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has emerged as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his unanimous nomination and election at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the ruling party on Thursday.
His nomination was moved by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, who is also the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
Naija News reports that Yilwatda takes over from Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned from the position earlier in the month amid internal party shifts.
